For inexperienced Forklift Operators. Full training in the safe operation of a Forklift will be provided to students on this course.

Re-test Fee: $50.00 for both theory and practical. Training Manager to advise of re-test arrangements.
Who should attend?
For those operators with limited or no experience driving a forklift. Please note that operation of a forklift without a high risk work licence can be illegal. Only persons 18 years and over can hold this licence.
Course content includes:
- Safety, legislation and Australian Standard 2359.2
- Pre-start inspections
- Driving
- Lifting, carrying, lowering and setting down loads
- Stacking and destacking loads
- Loading and unloading a vehicle
- Parking the forklift
Assessments
Applicants will be required to undertake both theory and practical assessments. The theory test comprises 55 short answer questions of which 30 must be answered correctly, with achievement of 75% accuracy for the remaining 25 questions.
Outcome
On successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Statement of Attainment indicating their successful achievement of the national competency which forms part of the TLI 21610 Certificate II in Warehousing Operations.
Please note that the granting of this Statement of Attainment does not in itself award the licence. Following successful completion of the assessments the Assessor will prepare documentation which will include an interim licence which is valid for 60 days from the date of issue. It is the responsibility of the trainee to make application to Worksafe for a high risk work licence.

Literacy and Numeracy
As some of the courses run by WARTA, assume a base level, where literacy and numeracy skills are required, please indicate if assistance with training and assessment services are required. Please note that Worksafe have ruled on issues surrounding literacy and numeracy requirements.
Important
You must bring photographic identification on the day that you attend your forklift training. Examples of suitable photo ID include:
- Drivers Licence
- Passport
- Proof of Age (18+ Card)
If you are unable to supply the necessary identification as required by WorkSafe, you will not be able to commence your forklift assessment.
