WARTA is the peak advisory body representing the Transport & Logistics Industry. This includes General Freight, Port Operators, Heavy and Bulk Haulage, Freight Forwarders, Long Distance Operators.
WARTA FREIGHT DIVISION negotiates and lobbies at all levels of Government and prepares input to positively influence legislation and regulations that may impact upon our industry. Representation to State and Federal Government Ministers and their Departmental Heads, on all matters associated with:

- WALGA - Local Government Regulations
- Regional Truck Stops

- Parking Restrictions
- Heavy Vehicle Technical Issues
- WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation & Auditing

WARTA Freight Division – PORT OPERATIONS SUB COMMITEE also regularly meets to discuss all matters specifically relating to WA Ports and Waterfront issues including:
- Empty Container Management
- Congestion Management
- Performance and services specific to:
– Fremantle Port Authorities
– 1-Stop Vehicle Booking Service (VBS)
– Patricks/DP World Stevedoring
– Empty Container Parks
– CBFCA and Shipping Lines - Performance Based Standards and Truck Productivity
- Joint representation through both the Freight and Logistics Council &WA Port Operations Task Force on matters relating to WA Ports including liaisons with Shipping Australia (SAL)
