Tour & Charter

Preceding the 2012 AGM, 13 Tour and Charter operators attended the inaugural meeting of the Tour and Charter Division. A committee was formed with Ray Gannaway as the Chairman. We welcome all Tour & Charter businesses to join this Association, so we may become a stronger voice for all.

Currently there are some 50 members owning in excess of 900 vehicles. Members have vehicles operating all throughout WA and in Northern Territory and North Queensland. There is a diverse range of activities including:

  • Tour and Charter Operations
  • Mining Contracts
  • Airport Shuttles
  • Remote Operations
  • School Charters
  • Adventure Camps
  • Concert Shuttles

Tour & Charter Executive Committee 2015

The Annual General Meeting of the Tour and Charter Division is generally scheduled for October of each year. One of the functions of the AGM is to elect the Executive and Committee. At the 2015 AGM, the following were elected to lead the Division over the next 12 months:

The Manager is Wally Gargano who operates from the WARTA Office in Carlisle.

Tour and Charter Executives have regular meetings with Passenger Services Business Unit of the Department of Transport and generally with the Compliance and Enforcement Unit. All operational matters individually and collectively are discussed and generally resolved in these meetings. Also, meetings are held with Airport Executives and various Councils

As a member of BIC regular meetings take place with BIC and the other state associations where a close working relationship has developed.
