Our Industry is rapidly changing and transport operators need as much help as they can get from the relevant government bodies, whether that is from policy change or from additional infrastructure investment etc.
It goes without saying what a huge improvement and benefit there will be for the Road Transport Industry once the three major projects – Gateway WA, NorthLink and Perth Freight Link are completed.
Other important initiatives the Department of Transport (DoT) and Main Roads WA (MRWA) are progressing with are DoT Direct and MRWA’s Industry Information Sessions.
DoT Direct is an online suite of applications and tools designed to make life easier – all you need to do is set up a free personalised online account. From there you are able to manage all information relating to your personal vehicle licence and driver’s licence, as well as pay all bills associated with these licences, check your demerit points etc. The DoT website is completely mobile friendly, displaying on your smart phone an easy to use ‘app’, which can be saved to your phones, desktop etc. for quick access in the future…
